John Goodman has responded the Roseanne Barr controversy – and not in the way you’d think.
In a video obtained by ET, the actor can be heard seemingly disinterested in the whole matter.
‘I wasn’t gonna get an Emmy anyway,’ Goodman says in the footage.
‘I’ve been up there [11] times already, and if I didn’t get one I’m not gonna get one,’ he adds.
Goodman, who plays Barr’s on-screen husband on Roseanne, has remained hush-hush on her controversial tweet about former Obama aide Valerie Jarrett.
The 65-year-old actor said, ‘I would rather say nothing than to cause more trouble.’
He added, ‘I don’t know anything about it.’
ABC made the decision to cancel Roseanne, effective immediately, following Roseanne’s racist tweets.
Barr has since returned to Twitter to defend her words, claiming they were ‘insensitive’, not racist.
