Tragic news for TV veteran Joh Griggs, who has announced the passing of her Nana.
The 43-year-old took to Instagram today to pay tribute to the beloved family member and share her loss with fans.
“So much sadness in our family today…” she captioned a collage of photos.
“Our beautiful matriarch and much loved Nana, passed away last night, just a couple of weeks short of turning an incredible 101years old. She may have been tiny in size but her legacy is huge. She was the mother of 4 daughters, had 12 Grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren and has influenced us all so much. She was both sweet, gentle, kind and loving.. as well as being an incredibly strong-willed, smart, funny and pragmatic woman.”
“We will all miss her so much,” she continued, “but take much comfort knowing she had such an incredible life, full of so much love! And now she is back with her beloved Arthur (Pa) and Aunty Diana.”
The former swim champ added the hashtags: “#restinpeacenana” and “#thankyouforeverything.”
Fans were quick to comment on the touching post, sending the star their words of support.
“So sorry to hear of your much loved nana’s passing,” one user penned. “Sending so much love to you all xxxx”
Another added: “What a beautiful lady Joh and what a life 🙌🏼”
