The loving mum is throwing a dinosaur-themed party for the young heir to celebrate his big day, sparing no expense to make sure it’s a T-Rexcellent success.

Prince William, 35, and wife Kate have often spoken of their little boy’s love of dinosaurs, with Kate once revealing: ‘George likes T-Rex because it’s the noisiest and the scariest!’

Meanwhile, Wills confirmed recently: ‘George likes doing his stickers… He likes dinosaurs.’

It’s believed the young royal’s obsession grew after a trip to the Natural History Museum back in 2014, making it no surprise that Kate, 35, has chosen all things prehistoric for the bash.

‘George is absolutely obsessed with dinosaurs,’ a royal insider tells New Idea. ‘He has plastic dinosaurs everywhere and dinosaur wallpaper in his room and a giant, inflatable T-Rex. He also has a little dinosaur costume with a tail that he runs around the palace in – and he’s even taken to calling Wills “Daddysaurus” and Kate “Mummysaurus”. It’s so cute!

‘So doing a dinosaur party was an easy win for Kate. And while it started off as a small party, it’s now grown to be pretty big and over-the-top.

‘As well as dinosaur decorations and a dinosaur cake, she’s also organised to have moving toy dinosaurs roaming around the palace grounds. It will look just like the set of Jurassic Park!’

The Queen will be the guest of honour at the big bash, making no secret of her deep affection and love for Prince George.

‘George might be
fourth in line to the
throne, but he’s number one in the Queen’s eye,’ says the source. ‘She loves him and calls George her “little king”.

‘He has a really cheeky personality and isn’t afraid
to say what he thinks, and the Queen really loves that about him. She knows the monarchy is in safe hands with George in line to the throne.

‘She normally doesn’t go to the young royal children’s parties because they’re a bit too much, and she doesn’t want to take the attention away on their special day with all the formalities that come with the Queen being present. But she’s making a big exception for George’s dinosaur party – she wouldn’t miss it for the world.’
