The low-key nuptials took place in the Victorian countryside among family and friends.

Marni spoke to New Idea about the happy day.

“We planned a quiet farm style wedding, something really personal to us. We’ve spent so much time together in regional Victoria and Archie loves camping so it’s definitely be low key but so full of love!” Marni says.

“We were really looking forward to it. It was a weekend on a farm stay in Victoria with our family and friends, very relaxed.

“My dress was from the wonderful girls at Spell Byron Bay and Archie walked me down the aisle with my dad,” added Marni.

“We didn’t have a bridal party, our nieces Honor and Bella were our flower girls.

We wanted something really personal to us and a chance for our families to relax for a weekend and get to know each other better.”

The writer, who looked simply stunning on her special day admitted she was over the moon when Dave popped the question.

“I’ve been Marni Ewing for so long now and just didn’t want that identity anymore. Dave is so wonderful with Archie and loves him like his own, so it was only a matter of time before he popped the question,” she says happily.

The couple got engaged on Balmoral beach after a quiet lunch at Newport Arms and a hot chocolate at Hemmingways, followed by a celebratory sparkling rose at The Fernery in Mosman.

“Dave is a fantastic stepdad, Archie adores him. That has always been the most important thing for me,” Marni adds.

As for more children, they’d love to give Archie a sibling. However, when they asked him if he’d like a new baby Marni admits Archie has hesitant! “No mummy, I want you do have a kid instead please,” his loving Mum reveals with a chuckle. “Babies aren’t fun for a three-year-old!”
