Hilaria Baldwin shames trolls for negative comments about her miscarriage

'I want to remove the stigma'

After candidly revealing on her Twitter and Instagram accounts that she was experiencing a miscarriage, Hilaria Baldwin has had to respond to negative trolling.

Pregnancy loss support groups have praised the US TV star for candidly sharing her experience and breaking down the stigma of miscarriage, and Hilaria has hit back at critics making negative comments about her heartbreak over a miscarriage during the first trimester of pregnancy.

She took to her Instagram stories to speak directly to her fans.

“I don’t care if you are one day pregnant or nine months pregnant, you start to develop a connection as soon as you know you are pregnant. I’m somebody that I know even before you can take a positive test. I’ve had a million children and you just know that feeling.”

She decided to speak out in light of so many people sharing their early miscarriage stories on her posts, saying that she didn’t want her followers to feel guilty while reading comments minimising the pain of losing a pregnancy in the first trimester.

“Anybody who has had that experience, I want you to not feel ashamed when you read some of these comments that say, “Oh, it doesn’t matter because it’s the first trimester,” or whatever,” Hilaria said, directly addressing her fans who have lost pregnancies.

“It does matter. If it means something to you it matters. OK, so don’t let that deter you.”
