Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have decided to put their baby and wedding plans on hold, Us Weekly claims.
The couple have been trying to conceive for over a year now, a source tells the publication. The source claims that Shelton is ‘absolutely devoted’ to Gwen’s sons – Kingston, 11, Zuma, 9, and Apollo, 4.
‘Blake is extremely attentive, loving and doting towards Gwen and the boys,’ the source says.
According to sources, Blake’s devotion to Gwen’s children from her previous marriage is the reason the couple want to have children.
‘Blake has always wanted children,’ a friend tells Us. ‘And he’s great with Gwen’s kids, which prompted them wanting their own.’
The couple have also decided to put their wedding plans on hold. A source says, ‘Gwen is very traditional and wouldn’t want to be pregnant without being married.’
When Shelton, 41, and Stefani, 48, originally announced they were dating in 2015, both were going through divorces. Stefani split from the father of her children, Gavin Rossdale, after 13 years of marriage, and Shelton had recently ended his four-year union with Miranda Lambert.
