After 8 years of marriage, and 13 years together, Fergie and Josh Duhamel have decided to call it quits.
The couple confirmed the news to PEOPLE, ‘With absolute love and respect we decided to separate as a couple earlier this year,” the couple said in a joint statement. “To give our family the best opportunity to adjust, we wanted to keep this a private matter before sharing it with the public. We are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family.’
The couple, who share a 4-year-old sone, Axl, have been always been open about their love and happiness as a family.
Although, the two haven’t been seen at public events together in several months.
The two did both just recently post photos via social media celebrating their 8th wedding anniversary.
Fergie captioned the happy snap, ‘happy 8th anniversary to my bae.’
Josh captioned his anniversary photo, ‘8 years! Love you babe.’
