Dave Hughes has revealed that he is losing his teeth, and that his wife, Holly Hughes, believes he is beginning to look like a ‘meth addict.’
Appearing on his new show, Hughesy, We Have A Problem, the 47-year-old comedian revealed: ‘My wife is worried. She says I’m starting to look like a meth addict.’
The Australian comedian claims his teeth are falling out rapidly due to him being a ‘country boy’ and consuming a lot of ‘orange juice.’
‘I’m from the county and when you’re from the country and your teeth fall out, you get on with your day,’ he told the live studio audience. ‘But when you’re from the city, you got to keep them in your mouth your whole life.’
‘One of my problems right now is that I am missing a number of teeth,’ the funny-man adds. ‘Not just one, two, three…I’m missing 10 teeth.’
During his television performance, Hughes threw out the question, ‘Should Hughesy get his teeth fixed?’, to his fellow panelists, Meshel Laurie, Sarah Harris, Luke McGregor and Merrick Watts.
Studio 10 presenter Sarah Harris asked, ‘What area of your hip bone will they take?’
Harris is referring to the procedure that would require taking a bone graph from Hughes hip in order to rectify his jaw, in order to place fake-teeth in.
The comedian responded, ‘On side here’, as he pointed towards his bottom.
Sarah clarified, ‘So, towards the bum.’
Hughsey nodded and replied, ‘yeah absolutely.’
‘So you’ll literally be speaking out of your arse!’ Harris exclaimed through laughter.
