A lot has changed since Darren McMullen last graced the screen on Australian prime-time TV two years ago.
Since bursting onto our screens in 2012, he has been considered a bit of a playboy, having been linked to Delta Goodrem, along with a slew of other ladies.
But these days, it seems the host of Channel Seven’s new quiz show Behave Yourself is finally ready to settle down.
Not only has the 35-year-old knuckled down with his work, he’s also finally ready to tie the knot with long-time girlfriend Crystal Reed.
‘I would love to say yes [we’re getting married],’ he spills to New Idea.
In the past, the Scottish-born star refused to get married until same-sex marriage was legal in Australia.
‘I don’t know if that’s going to fly so long in my household anymore,’ he admits, before conceding: ‘Really, I should probably be looking at a chapel right now.
‘When gay marriage is made legal in Australia, you’re going to struggle to get a wedding venue for the next three years after that!’
As well as wedding plans, Darren says the couple of four years are also preparing to start a family.
‘We do want a lot of kids,’ he reveals.
‘I was always worried about being an old, geriatric dad trying to kick the soccer ball with my son, but I think with modern technology it’s given us a little more breathing room, so I don’t really bother too much about that anymore. I think [we’ll postpone kids] just until we get our careers where we want them first.’
Behave Yourself premieres Tuesday, 9pm, Channel Seven.
