Crown Princess Mary of Denmark has graced the cover of Vogue Australia for the second time.
The breathtaking photos were shot by international photographer Mario Testino and feature Princess Mary with her husband Prince Frederik and children Prince Christian, 10, Princess Isabella, nine, and twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine, five.
The 44-year-old Hobart born Princess opened up about life as a role model.
“I always find it difficult to speak of myself as a role model, you know, because I think it is other people and their impression of you that makes a role model…it’s not something I consciously think about,” she told the magazine.
“But at the same time, I am very aware of my role and my responsibility. If I can inspire others and if others see something in me that can inspire them.”
Princess Mary also revealed she finds it difficult to accept a compliment.
“I would say I’m not very good at accepting praise and recognition,” she added. “I have a strong perfectionist streak, which means that, for example, if I look back over a speech I tend to focus on the bit that was not quite right, instead of everything else that was good.”
