But UFC fighter Conor McGregor has no qualms about getting in the ring with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr this Sunday.

Speaking at his press conference earlier today, the Irish champ boasted that his opponent would be “unconscious inside round one” of their Las Vegas exhibition match.

“I’ve been fighting my whole life so it’s just another day for me, another fight, I’ve already whooped one of the faces of boxing, I’m gonna whoop another on August 26,” he quipped.

Meanwhile, former welterweight champion Mayweather – who holds an unheralded record of 49-0 – remained a little more level-headed.

The 40-year-old took the opportunity to thank his fans for all of their support.

“You know without you guys I wouldn’t be where I’m at so I really want to say thank you to the other fans because we owe the fans an exciting fight,” he said.

“And I think, you know I’m happy that it’s number 50th, but you know it’s a great matchup and I’m happy for the fans.”

While McGregor has never boxed professionally, he is expected to make an estimated $110 million from the appearance.
