After Grant Denyer’s health news, the family have had a rough couple of weeks yet on Tuesday, mother-of-two Chezzi shared an uplifting Instagram post in honour of her daughter’s birthday.
“Eight wonderful years celebrating our special soul, Sailor Shelley Denyer. Happy birthday my sweetheart!
Your heart is made of gold. You are spirited and creative,” Chezzi wrote alongside a series of adorable images of Sailor.
“You are spirited and creative. Your laugh is infectious, and I love how you love life!
Every day with you is wonderful. Dream big, because I know you will go far,” her mother continued.
The post comes days after she shared a health scare Sailor once had.
“You see, Sailor had a bad allergic reaction a week ago. Her little throat started to close up. She had hives,” she wrote on Instagram.
“We had to act fast. It’s not the first time, but it was worse this time. I wasn’t expecting it. We think it was cross-contamination of some pistachio nuts on some tongs at a hotel we stayed at.”
Grant’s wife then went on to explain that Sailor had been diagnosed with a moderate allergy to cashew nuts two years ago.
“We’ve managed it though, and well. Up until now. So I’m taking her to Westmead Hospital tomorrow to work out if we need an Epi-pen.”
