Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s six kids certainly have far from a standard family unit. Not only are their parents two of the most famous and wealthy Hollywood actors, but the six children have grown up in multiple countries around the world, and three are adopted.
The family’s ultra-wealthy, travelling lifestyle, and the kids’ reportedly bohemian home schooling, might seem downright bizarre to most people – so one might expect the kids to be slightly unusual. Adding to the situation is the drama of their parents’ divorce. But forget the expectations and myths, what are the kids really like?
A recent report published in Life & Style reveals that despite coming from Hollywood backgrounds, the children are extremely grounded, well-mannered and close.
“The kids have a handful of friends and because they are home-schooled they’ve formed an unbreakable bond. They really rely on each other,” the source said.
This year the family will split their time between Mexico where their mother is filming a new movie and Brad’s home in Los Angeles. To most people it’s a strange, secretive life of travel that is very far from the settled home lives most families enjoy. But those in the know say the kids are well-adjusted, normal and thriving.
“Despite their messy divorce, Brad and Angie are amazing parents. They feel really blessed to have such well-behaved grounded kids. Quite a rarity in Hollywood,” the source adds.
Angelina first adopted Maddox Chivan from Cambodia. Maddox is now 18 years old and is set to go to college! He’ll be taking biochemistry in Yonsei University, South Korea.
The second eldest sibling is Pax Thien, who was adopted in 2007 from Vietnam. Pax was already four years old when he was adopted. He’s now 15 turning 16 years old, just two years older than Zahara.
Shiloh Nouvel is Angelina and Brad’s first biological child. She was born in 2006 in Namibia, where her famous parents had escaped to avoid the media frenzy. She’s now 13 years old and seems to be very close to her sister Zahara.
The youngest of the Jolie-Pitt children are twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, born in 2008 in Nice, France. Their baby pictures were sold for a whopping $USD14-millon, becoming the most expensive celebrity photographs ever!
It’s great to hear that despite their unusual upbringings and the pressures of fame, that kids are so well grounded!
