The New York Post is reporting that Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt after discovering he was having an affair with French actress Marion Cotillard on the set of their film, Allied.
According to the newspaper, suspicious Angelina, 41, hired an investigator to track her 52-year-old husband’s movements while he was shooting in London.
‘She hired a private eye because she felt like he was fooling around with her on set,’ says their source. ‘And it turns out he was. It was the final straw.’
Apparently, Brad and Marion – who is in a long-term relationship with French actor and director Guillaume Canet, the father of their five-year-old son, Marcel – had been ‘fooling around’ together for months.
Brad and Ange have also been fighting for months over their lifestyle – Ange wants to quit Hollywood to focus on her humanitarian efforts, while Brad prefers the glamorous A-list lifestyle.
TMZ reports they’ve also clashed about how to raise their six children, Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and 8-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox.
“Angelina was extremely upset with his [parenting] methods,” says a source.
Since Brad has been in London with Marion, friends have noticed a huge change in Ange.
‘She barely eats, guzzles wine every night and smokes constantly,’ an insider tells In Touch Weekly magazine, which reported the couple was on the brink of a $400m divorce.
Angelina, together with her divorce-powerhouse lawyer Laura Wasser, is seeking sole physical custody of their kids, and has cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split.
