Still in bitter turmoil over her divorce from her transgendered ex Caitlyn Jenner, Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner has hit emotional rock bottom as her flagship reality show faces imminent cancellation. And the most painful sting has come from the realisation that the kids she made stars could not care less that the tacky show is doomed to be axed.
With ratings for Kris’ main cash cow, ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ hitting an all-time low, the show is now reported to be facing cancellation – plunging fame-hungry spotlight queen Kris into an unprecedented personal crisis. The season debut of the show this year earned an unimpressive 2.2 million viewers, while the June 26 show crashed to a humiliating 1.2 million.
Rubbing salt in Kris’ wounds – her famous kids are reportedly mostly thrilled at the prospect of the embarrassing show being consigned to the scrapheap.
‘Kris is absolutely desperate to save the show,’ a source told US Star magazine. ‘But she can’t do that without her kids, and hardly anyone else in the family wants to keep doing it.
‘Kris feels they’re betraying her, and it’s lead to some huge fights.’
While Kim and her successful siblings are keen to pursue more credible projects – one sibling is in their mother’s corner. Khloe – whose spin-offs, such as Kocktails With Khloe, have fizzed out – is desperately holding on to her last chance at lingering fame.
But if all else fails, at least a reunion show with Caitlyn is a possibility.
