They were once the fan-favourite couple on Married At First Sight.
But now, it seems that the relationship between Sean and Susan is over for good.
During a tell-all interview with A Current Affair on Tuesday, the Queensland farmer revealed why he never found his happily ever after with the Perth-based truck-driver.
“With our work rosters… it’s only like every six weeks we get to catch up,” he explained.
“Sometimes she’s on night shift and she’s on day shift and it’s very hard.”
He 35-year-old admitted that the pair had made every effort to continue their relationship after filming wrapped, but their communication had fizzled around the halfway mark of the show being aired.
And although the physical distance between them ultimately proved too much for the couple, they still remain friends.
“We send each other a text and chat when we can,” the father-of-two said.
His candid confession comes just days after Sean’s on-screen wife made explosive accusations that he had only stayed on the show for money and was a “completely different person off camera.”
But while he didn’t get his fairy-tale ending, Sean is adamant he signed up for the show with the best of intentions.
“I went in there for the right reasons and that was to find love, I didn’t want to go in there for any drama.”
