Angelina Jolie has been exposed to the Zika virus, and is claimed to be suffering from Guillain-Barre syndrome – a feared complication of the disease – according to a bombshell report.
The actress, who has recently appeared tired and gaunt during public appearances, is claimed to have come into contact with Zika while visiting a tropical country, according to US magazine National Enquirer.
‘Angie was exposed to the virus while travelling on humanitarian missions throughout the Third World last year,’ a source told the publication. ‘If it’s in her system, it could trigger other problems that she’s terrified might kill her!’.
The report goes on to allege that ‘insiders insist she is suffering from Guillain-Barre syndrome’ – a disorder sometimes associated with Zika infection, which affects the immune and nervous systems.
Angelina has yet to comment on the report.
