The comedian and business owner’s relationship has gone from strength to strength as time has moved forward.

Their romance, however, may never have come to pass if a humble napkin hadn’t played a part.

And now, they are one step closer to their dream wedding as Rebecca revealed they have finally locked down their guest list for the special day, with Andy taking the lead on all the planning.

How long have Rebecca Harding and Andy Lee been together?

It all started on an average day back in 2014, when Andy found himself at a Melbourne cafe.

“There’s plenty of hot chicks in the world,” Andy told our sister publication The Australian Women’s Weekly in May 2024, “but with Bec, it was the way she was chatting to people in the cafe. I sat there for a long time watching her, which is probably weird in hindsight.”

“I ordered just about everything on the menu so I could stay there longer. In the end, it was a full degustation breakfast. I ordered things I’ve never eaten in my life. She was genuinely interested in everyone in the cafe. She got so excited chatting to the customers that she knew what their children were studying at university and where they’d been on holiday, but totally forgot what they’d just ordered.”

“She was a terrible waitress. She had to come back to the tables a few times because she’d mucked up people’s orders, and she blamed the chef, which impressed me.”

Despite her reservations, she did message him, and “barely 20 seconds after I’d pressed ‘send’ he phoned and asked me to go on a date – the very next day,” she revealed.

Andy may have been impressed, but Rebecca was less so at what the comedian did next.

“He wrote down his email address, not a phone number [on a napkin], which I actually thought was a bit weird and a bit of a smooth move. I thought to myself, ‘I bet he does this all the time’,” Rebecca also told the publication.

The duo made their public debut at the Australian Open in 2015, after dating out of the public eye for quite some time.

However, from here, it wasn’t always an easy run for the loved-up couple.

Since the beginning, Andy had warned Rebecca about the pressure and challenges of being in the public eye… the two even broke up for a period of time earlier in their relationship.

In August 2016, Andy told his co-host Hamish Blake during a segment on his radio show that the two had “broke up a little while ago,” later sharing that life in the public eye had taken its toll on Bec.

Her relationship with Andy allegedly left her to question whether aspects of her life, like her career and her friends, were a result of who she was dating.

Andy was left pining after her and tried to win her back.

His efforts proved successful, and the two got back together just six months after their split.

Their relationship proved to be stronger than the first time around, and Andy ended up taking Bec to the TV WEEK Logie Awards in April 2017.

Where is Andy Lee and Rebecca Harding’s house?

Andy and Bec first moved in together in 2017. Three years later, they revealed that they had purchased a beautiful home in the Mornington Peninsula; however, it was unclear when the major purchase was made and when they moved in.

Their beach house proved to be a big project for the two. During this time, they welcomed a new member to the family… their adorable dog Henrietta.

But Andy and Bec didn’t stop there with their renovation projects!

In 2021, they purchased another home, an 1876-built Italianate mansion in Hawthorn worth $8.5 million. Andy later mentioned in a Sydney Morning Herald interview that the house had “no running water, no bathroom [and] no kitchen”.

“It’s one hell of an undertaking, but renovations are good for relationships, right?” he joked.

They regularly post about their property and their progress. They even have an Instagram page specifically for their home, and in an update shared on August 15, 2025, Andy revealed the new pad had walls at last.

“And like that… there were walls,” he posted. “It looked like a giant game of Lego but this @afs_formwork is quite amazing. Walls that would take weeks, up in a few days. I’m pretty sure this is what Oasis were singing about when they wrote ‘Wonder Wall’.”

Are Andy Lee and Rebecca Harding married?

Andy proposed to Bec at the end of April 2024 – more on that here.

While they are yet to tie the knot, Bec told Stellar are starting to talk about their special day.

“We’ve been the worst engaged couple,” she began.

“We’ve been renovating a house, we’ve both got our own businesses that we’re running and then obviously, just trying to do life as well.

“Until recently, we hadn’t taken the time to sit down and start planning. But now we have, which is exciting. We have a guest list.”

She even admitted that he’s taking charge, and “he might be the groomzilla”.

“He was the instigator,” she explained. “He’s got some strong ideas, which is great, because I’m hopeless. I’ve never really thought about what a wedding might look like for me. So it’s nice to have someone taking the charge.”

Just before Christmas in 2024, she admitted to 9Entertainment that they had no real wedding plans.

“We spent about five minutes talking about it on a recent holiday. But I very quickly told Andy it was too stressful to talk about on holidays,” Bec explained.

“We bounce between eloping or having a big wedding, but depending on how much this house costs, it’s probably looking like eloping,” Andy quipped at the time.

This is a far cry from being told that they were rushing into things when they first announced it.

“People keep saying we’ve rushed into this, but we don’t care what people say!” the pair quipped on Instagram at the time.

Andy’s proposal, with a dazzling ring no less, also paid homage to how they first met.

“I asked Bec to marry me on Sunday,” Andy subsequently told the Hamish and Andy podcast.

“I stayed on one knee and I gave her another napkin – because when I first met her at the café, I wrote on a napkin my details – and I gave her another napkin,” he said.

He divulged even more in an interview with The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick.

“I proposed with a napkin. So, when I first met Bec, in a café, she was a waitress, and she was busy… I left my email address [on the napkin], which she didn’t like, but I just said, ‘If you have a boyfriend, just tell him that I’m using you to get to him. I bet he’s handsome’,” the comedian said.

“So, in the morning, I’d actually gone back to the same café, gotten a napkin again, and I had written, ‘If you’ve got a husband, just tell him that I’m using you to get to him. I bet he’s handsome.’ And, I proposed with the napkin, which she loved.

“The hard thing is most people went, ‘About bloody time.’ There was no congratulations, just yelling and [asking] ‘Why didn’t you do it earlier?’”

What is the age gap between Andy Lee and Rebecca Harding?

Andy and Rebecca have a nine-year age gap. Andy was born in May 1981, while Rebecca was born in May 1990. The pair often shares sweet birthday tributes to each other on Instagram.

“Wherever we are in the world, in rain, sun, and snow… you’re my favourite person. Happy Birthday @rebeccalharding xx Love you 😘,” Andy wrote to Rebecca in an Instagram post back in 2022.

Andy previously revealed in an interview with Good Weekend magazine that he doesn’t “see the age difference at all, except when she doesn’t understand Back to the Future quotes”.

Do Andy Lee and Rebecca Harding have children?

Andy and Rebecca do not have any children, and it’s possible that growing a family may not be in the cards for these two.

“I’ve gone through times where I thought I would, and then I’ve definitely gone through patches of feeling, ‘I don’t think I want this at all’. We’ll see,” Andy said on Mamamia’s No Filter podcast.

“One thing I do love about not currently having kids is how available I am to my family. My mum, my dad, and I were down at the beach house the other day, and they said, ‘When are you going to start a family?’

“And I said, ‘You realise you wouldn’t be here in this beach house if I had my own family and kids’. I think I spend so much time with them because of [being child-free].”

Who is Rebecca Harding?

She may have met Andy during a stint as a waitress, but Rebecca Harding wears many hats. She has a degree in Media and Communications and is represented by Profile Talent Management, where she is described as a “model, entrepreneur, and digital talent”.

In 2023, she founded Australian razor and body care brand LUI, explaining on the website that she thought “it was time that hair removal products got a makeover”.

“I spent years talking with women about their body hair, the way in which they groom it (if they choose to do so), and how to elevate this experience,” Rebecca explained. The shaving category has always been male-dominated. While trends and cultural attitudes have evolved over the last few decades, the plastic pink razors we grew up with have not.

“As a beauty lover, I recognised that every other product I use in my daily routine is intentional, aesthetically pleasing and results-driven.”

In 2025, Rebecca expanded her remit further, proving her voice to the role of Nessie in the ABC kids program Do Not Watch This Show, created by Andy.
