All Blacks rugby legend Richie McCaw and his wife Gemma have announced the birth of their first child, a baby girl.
Taking to social media, Gemma wrote: “We are excited to announce the arrival of our daughter, Charlotte Rose McCaw.”
“Thank you for the love and blessings we have received, our hearts are so full.”
The message was accompanied by a photo of baby Charlotte clutching at her mother’s thumb, while Richie’s hand cradles both his wife and daughter.

The couple announced their pregnancy back in July after they tied the knot in 2017.
McCaw represented All Blacks on 148 occasions, winning two Rugby World Cups. He is widely regarded as New Zealand’s best ever rugby union player.
Congratulations to the new parents!
