Transgender activist and actor Alexis Arquette, who died on Sunday, was reportedly planning to write a tell-all memoir that would ‘out’ A-list Hollywood celebrities, and had apparently abandoned living as a woman.
A source confirmed to PEOPLE that Alexis died from ‘complications related to AIDS’.
Now, The New York Post reports The Wedding Singer actor, who was according to some friends and family members living as a man again before dying, was approached several times to write the revealing book.
‘She told me she was gearing up, and it was draining her because she knew she could blow the lid off a lot of closeted gay men and women and their respective marriages,’ the article quotes a friend as saying.
‘She said, “I’m not quite ready for that kind of battle. But when I do i’ll write my book, and uncover all the hypocrisy, this town will come to a stop.’”
Now a raft of Hollywood stars are believed to be concerned that Alexis’ unfinished writings may end up being published online or in some other form.
Arquette made headlines earlier this year with a controversial Facebook post, purportedly outing Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith.
‘When Jada comes out as gay and her beard husband admits his first marriage ended when she walked in [on] him . . . servicing his Sugar Daddy . . . then I will listen to them,’ Arquette wrote, before deleting the post.
