Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have fit a lot into their tour of Morocco and that includes sampling plenty of local delicacies.
But, there was one very unusual food that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex sampled – pigeon!
Yep, during a visit to the Villa des Ambassadedurs hotel in Rabat the couple tried a dish called pastilla, which is a savoury meat pie cooked with pigeon.
While, most people would think twice about eating the dish mum-to-be, Meghan, 37, happily tried a bit and said that it was “very good.”
All the meals that Meghan and Harry, 34, tried were prepared by children from underprivileged backgrounds using recipies by chef Moha Fedal – the host of Morocco’s version of Masterchef.
During the visit Meghan gifted Moha a copy of Together, the cookbook Meghan worked on that features recipies from a group of women whose community was affected by the Grenfell Tower fire.
Meghan even wrote a personalized message to Moha in the cookbook.

“Chef Moha. Wishing you continued success and congratulating you on your incredible work in engaging the community in cooking. All the best. Meghan,” she wrote.
In exchange, Moha gifted the duchess a copy of his own cookbook, Le Vrai Goût du Maroc.
Given Meghan’s penchant for a home cooked meal, we are sure she will cook Harry some delicious meals from it!
