Meghan Markle arranged a sweet birthday surprise for a close friend while in New York City.
The Duchess of Sussex was in the Big Apple to see tennis ace pal Serena Williams play in the US Open final.

Serena lost to Canadian Bianca Andreescu, 6-3, 7-5.
The 38-year-old also managed to squeeze in a birthday surprise for her close friend, makeup artist Daniel Martin.
Martin – who was Meghan’s makeup artist for her wedding to Prince Harry – took to Instagram to share a snap of a plate of cupcakes.
“I am so overwhelmed by all of your well wishes! My sincerest gratitude! Thanks to everyone for reaching out to me today and Meg, love you friend for surprising me on my special day,” read the caption.
The former Suits actress left husband Prince Harry and son Archie Harrrison at home for the whirlwind two day trip.
The 38-year-old is believed to have flown commercial following backlash over her use of private jets.
