In Osher’s words, home town visits are the most intense examination yet. In a teaser for episode 14 of The Bachelor, viewers can see Nick Cummins being put through the paces.
And it’s front runner Brittany’s father who appears to be the most daunting of the parents.
“I don’t have a great deal of respect for footballers… I’ve got my daughter to worry about, if you break my daughter’s heart, I’ve got to pick up the pieces,” Brittany’s father warns Nick as he swigs on his beer.
“Umm there’s four girls,” squeaks Nick like a timid mouse. “Yes, I’m acutely aware of that,” the father interrupts.
“He’s got a very manly energy about him,” says Nick later to the camera.
“He’d scare a dog out of a butcher’s shop,” he adds.
And Nick might be having to watch his back as rumours have recently surfaced that after choosing Brittany as his final Bachelorette, he splits with her shortly afterwards.
An insider claimed to two publications that the former Wallabies player could no longer keep up appearances and ended the relationship shortly afterwards.
What really happens remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure – we’re glued to our couch waiting.
