For most, Boxing Day is a day to unwind from a beautiful Christmas surrounded by friends and family. For the Jarvis family however, Boxing Day morning was filled with tragedy.
Peggy June Jarvis, a five-week-old little girl, was found unresponsive in her family home in Marske, in East Cleveland.
It has been reported that an inquest into Peggy’s death is expected to be opened by Teesside Coroner Service.
Family and friends of this adorable newborn have created a GoFundMe page to help raise money for the funeral costs, and tributes have flooded the page.
Peggy’s uncle John wrote to the page, ‘Thinking of you Peggy June fly high little angel xxxx thoughts are with you both love aunty shirley and uncle john.’
Another grieving friend wrote, ‘Thinking of you all. A beautiful baby girl too precious for this world Fly high little on.’
Lee Ivo, the friend responsible for creating the donation page, wrote: ‘Let’s raise some funds for the best possible send off for our lovely Peggy June Jarvis. Every donation counts no matter how small. RIP PEGGY.’
Ivo revealed he started the fundraising page with his partner Kirstie after hearing news of the death.
The page has since raised £6,685.
