You can pre-order them both on Friday, 22 September on the Apple’s official website.

That’s not all though as this year’s announcement was quite different as it marks the 10th anniversary of the first iPhone.

To celebrate, fans have not one but three phones to froth over this time around with Apple CEO, Tim Cook returning to the stage after announcing the iPhone 8 an iPhone 8 Plus to say: ‘We’re not stopping there, we have one more thing.’

Cook announced anniversary phone, the iPhone X and is being labeled ‘the biggest leap forward since the original iPhone.’

Ditching the home button, the iPhone X instead will rely on Face ID recognition to unlock the phone. Now with a glass finish, the phone also comes with a brighter Super Retina display, new animated emoji’s and wireless charging.

Prices are AU$1579 for the 64GB model and for the 256GB model AU$1829.
