A Queensland woman has shared shocking photos of the mammoth-sized spider she encountered when trying to use her BBQ at her Mount Coolum house.
Lauren Ansell shared the photos online, saying that the beast was stopping them from reaching their BBQ, and became aggressive when they tried to move it along.
Lauren told the Sunshine Coast Daily that the spider was at least the size of a grown man’s hand.
Eventually the spider, nicknamed Aragog after the giant spider from Harry Potter, was wedged up against the sliding door, where Lauren’s boyfriend came up with a plan.
‘My boyfriend tried to squish it in the door but the spider was smart,’ she said.
“The door only claimed two of its legs and it dropped and ran into the garden.’
Where it went… no one knows!
