There was something very strange about Tuesday night’s grand final of Australian Ninja Warrior…there wasn’t actually a winner!
After weeks of watching the country’s fittest folk make their way through the ninja obstacle courses, the grand final saw 21 ninjas take on three stages.
However, no one managed to make it all the way up Mount Midoriyama and therefore there was no one crowned Australia’s ultimate ninja warrior and granted the prize money.

It’s no surprise there was no winner given it took seven season for there to be an ultimate Ninja Warrior in the US and in the worldwide history of the franchise, no one has ever scaled Mount Midoriyama in the first season.
Former UK Ninja Warrior competitor Fred Dorrington topped the leader board but he missed out on the ultimate prize.
No one even made it all the way to the third stage and Mount Midoriyama.
Just nine ninjas made it through to the second stage of the grand final with no one completing stage two.
