Karl Stefanovic has become embroiled in a love triangle shock amid claims Bachelor star Matty J once had a secret relationship with the Today host’s girlfriend Jasmine Yarborough.
Insiders tell New Idea that Matty and model Jasmine were ‘really close’ years ago after both attending private schools in Brisbane.
It’s believed Bachelor hottie Matty is also good pals with Jasmine’s sister Jade and brother Josh, and the siblings spent a lot of good times together over the years – so much so that romance rumours about Matty, 30, and Jasmine, 33, once ran wild.
‘Nothing was ever definite, but let’s just say they were very good friends back in the day,’ a source tells New Idea.
‘Matty was friends with Jasmine’s brother Josh and that’s how they met. But they’re both gorgeous and Matty’s a big flirt – it’s funny they’re both in the news for their love lives now.’
The rumours will come as a surprise to Jasmine’s TV star boyfriend, Karl, 42, who recently opened up about their eight-month romance.
He has been forced to hit back at criticism and fan backlash over his relationship with the much-younger Jasmine, which officially started just months after he split from his wife of 21 years, Cassandra Thorburn.
‘We are taking things really, really slowly,’ Karl told Stellar magazine.
