7-year-old boy, Hakeem Hussain from Birmingham in the UK has been found dead.
It is suspected the boy had been suffering from hypothermia and went into cardiac arrest outside his home on Sunday morning.
Paramedics declared the boy had passed away around 7:30am on the scene.
Despite having hypothermia, a 35-year old woman and 56-year-old man have been arrested over suspicions of negligence. They have although since been let out on bail as police continue to investigate further.
A police spokesman said: ‘A man and woman were arrested on suspicion of wilfully ill-treating a child after a seven-year-old boy was found deceased at a property in Cook Street, Nechells, on Sunday, November 26, just after 7.30am.’
He further added: ‘The 56-year-old man and woman, aged 35, have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.’
A post-mortem examination is set to be conducted to confirm the exact cause of death.
