A phone interview with the woman has her describing her chance encounter with the mythical creature in Queensland’s Darling Downs’ mountain ranges near Toowoomba. She says, “It was probably around seven foot tall, it had a head like a gorilla and long arms, I couldn’t see it from the waist down because it was walking through the long grass. I tried to get it to turn around but I was scared and didn’t want to aggravate him.”

Harrison himself has has several near-death experiences with the fabled creatures in various global locations and recounted to the Daily Mail Australia that in the last five years, there have been at least ten Yowie sightings in Queensland alone.
