Sarah Hyland has a brand new cut and it is the ultimate in retro cool.
The Modern Family star usually wears her thick, curly hair super long and when we say super long we mean SUPER long but she’s mixed it up and in a major way.
Sarah is now the proud (and might we add super beautiful!) owner of one seriously shaggy lob.
Her formerly long hair now barely brushes her shoulders but incredibly, the dramatic change in length is not the biggest difference.
The real reason she looks like a completely different person is the textured, choppy treatment of the cut.
Unlike so many Hollywood A-Listers who have opted for lobs of late – Sarah skipped the neat and sweet version and instead went for a hard-core 70s rock and roll I can party all night and still wake up like this and be ready to go style.
And damn it looks good. So good in fact we want one too. And right now thank you!
The super cool thing about Sarah’s new chop is that it is seriously on trend but also, incredibly low maintenance.
A quick run through with her fingers and she should be good to go.
Stylist Aleks Abadia, of Sydney’s Esstudio Galleria, says this cut is one of the most cool options for 2019 but warns it’s not for everyone.
“A cut like this needs hair that’s got some texture and weight to it,” says Aleks.
If that’s you though we recommend you call your salon STAT.
Sarah is clearly very chuffed with her new look and has posted a handful of pics to her social media accounts showing it off to her fans and friends.
So far the feedback has been very, very positive indeed.
“I LOVE it,” wrote one, opting for caps lock just in case we didn’t feel just how much she meant it.
“CUTE,” wrote another, also employing caps lock for effect. But the last word went to Sarah’s long-time BF Wells Adams, who relied on emojis to get his feelings across.
“😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍,” he posted.
And we couldn’t agree more.
