Apple confirmed a new set of emoji’s are on the way, including female swimmers, single parents and the silver gun is being replaced by a little green water pistol.
The new and improved emojis will be available as part of the new iOS 10 update.
According to the Apple website, the emojis will ‘better represent gender and sexual diversity.’
‘This exciting update brings more gender options to existing characters, including new female athletes and professionals, adds beautiful redesigns of popular emoji, a new rainbow flag and more family options.’
The software is set to arrive on devices later this year.
