Chontel Duncan, 28, shared a snap of her body to Instagram, explaining to her 600,000 followers that she had ‘thoroughly enjoyed the past 5.5 weeks of rest’.

Clarifying that this meant ‘no training’ the personal trainer and model – who welcomed baby Swayde Noel on September 20, said she had ‘loved being more “at home” for this recovery instead of at work in the office’.

Writing on her Instagram page four and a half weeks after giving birth, the fitness guru said she had only been able to focus on nutrition rather than getting back into the gym.

‘I have been granted permission from my doctor to do light cardio but between juggling a new home, new born, toddler, running a business and my socials it’s proving to be a tad difficult,’ she explained.

‘Mainly because when I want to hit the streets with the pram it’s RAINING and Swayde isn’t immunised yet so I have to try avoid large crowds (aka my gym) until he has had his injections.

‘For now it’s vacuuming, steam mopping, picking up toys, endless trips up and down my stairs, picking up the bebes & making the bed that will be my cardio.’

In her latest post, she went on to say that she had received some interesting comments in the weeks since the birth of her son, and she would like to clear some things up.

‘Didn’t you have a cesarean? Where is your scar?’ the mother-of-two said she’d been asked by some.

‘Yes I did, my scar is very low and my doctor went through my old scar. Actually he cut out my old scar due to severe keyloid & gave me a VERY neat one in replacement,’ she explained.

She went on to address those who told her that her post baby body ‘isn’t realistic’ or called it ‘fake’.

‘Yes I FULLY understand that my “postpartum changes” are not like the next persons, but nether are the next persons… does that make sense?’ she wrote.

‘My routine day in day out is HIIT HIIT HIIT (High intensity interval training) I also eat a very balanced healthy diet & I am EXTREMELY overgrown (186cms).

‘My behaviour throughout my pregnancy consisted of 5 HIIT sessions per week, running a business & running after a toddler.

‘My nutrition postpartum is again a healthy balanced diet. If I didn’t train, I didn’t have a busy lifestyle & I didn’t eat well, I wouldn’t look anything like I do.

‘So when someone says this isn’t realistic remember my lifestyle and behaviour is pretty full on but it’s what I enjoy & also it’s my career so the convenience is there too.’
