The $2 scone hack that Kmart Pie Maker Mums swear by

There is no shortage of what you can and can’t make in the humble $29 Kmart Pie Maker.We’ve seen clever home chefs whip up cupcakes, quiches and of course all sorts pies in the budget appliance. But did you know that the clever mums over at the Kmart Pie Maker Recipes, Tips and Ideas Australia Facebook group are now their now making SCONES with their trusty pie makers?

In recent posts on the awesome social media page, savvy home cooks have revealed how they’ve been whipping up the classic baked treat in their pie makers – with many using the $2 Coles Buttermilk Scone mix as their secret ingredient. Better still, the scones only take 6-7 minutes to bake in the appliance. Wow!

‘Is there anything this machine can’t do!’ said one follower. Added another: ‘OMG, I would never of thought to do this!’ And one more: ‘I  must try this!’
