‘Ungrateful’ Buying Blind couple spark outrage

Twitter was NOT happy.

Buying Blind is Channel Nine’s latest renovation show, that sees desperate house-hunters enlist experts to find their dream home – WITHOUT ever seeing it themselves.

Tuesday night’s episode saw Melbourne couple Jenny and Dallas were not willing to budge on their strict demands – and were slammed for being ‘ungrateful’ with the finished results.

The parents revealed they had a budget of $700,000 and needed a four-bedroom home with separate accommodation for Dallas’ elderly father John.

Describing her style as ‘Scandi-coastal-boho’, Jenny was very adamant about what she wanted for her new home.

Jenny said, ‘I love interior design, styling, I think I’m quite good at it and people have said to me, ‘come stage my house’.’

Shaynna Blaze, the show’s interior design expert, went head-to-head with Jenny over her harsh demands, with the Melbourne mum refusing to budge on one in particular – no black.

While looking through Jenny’s current home, Shaynna observed that the look was too ‘trend based’ and wanted to change the couple’s mind on their demands.

I would probably like to do things that will challenge this white, bright feeling, just to give you more of longevity to your interior,’ Shaynna said.

Twitter were quick to mock Jenny’s unwillingness to budge.

In a bold move, Shaynna decided to ignore Jenny’s wish for ‘no black’ in the couple’s new home and installed dark floorboards and window frames.

Jenny couldn’t hide her disappointment, saying: ‘I’ll deal with it later…It’s here now. I can’t do anything about it. Don’t want to be ungrateful.’

The couple seemed pleased with the rest of the house, but viewers were not happy with the couple and their blasé appreciation of their new home.
