It’s one of the most beloved homes in Aussie TV history, but Kath and Kim’s Fountain Lakes house is soon to be over… O.V.A.H. Well, at least as you remembered it.
New owner Joanne Kelly is radically renovating the house, but the good news is, she’s giving fans the chance to tour the house before all of its early 2000s glory is gone like a packet of Dippity-Bix.

‘We’re changing a lot in the house, so it won’t look the same on the inside or the outside,’ she confirmed to Sunrise.
When asked by host David Koch if there was a risk of a heritage listing being slapped on the home, Joanne was not impressed.
‘No don’t go down that line Kochie, please,’ she said.
‘That was the main concern when we decided to do this open house, were we going to have Kath and Kim protestors out the front.’
At least one of the house’s old fixtures, the fireplace in the good room, will be up for sale before the renovators do their work.
Mum of two Joanne will be charging visitors $5 a pop to go through the home, and it’s all in the name of charity, with proceeds going to Carrie Bickmore’s Beanies 4 Brain Cancer.
One shock revelation that will stun fans, is that the door that Sharon often thundered through actually opens up onto a scenic lake – an outlook that was always obscured on the show.
Just like Kath, Joanne wed in the garden of the house, and once things are finished, she’ll be moving in with kids Patrick, 15, and Keilah, 14 and husband Tony.
‘The famous kitchen, the tiles and the living room with the fireplace are all the same from the original series,’ Joanne told the Herald Sun.
‘We still get plenty of people coming around and taking photos out the front.’
But that might change after major modifications planned for the house’s outside soon render it unrecognisable.
Family and friends will be dressing up in costume for the open day, with Kath & Kim DVDs playing throughout the house.
The home will be open between 10am-3pm Saturday August 31 at 4 Lagoon Place Patterson Lakes.
