Mischa Barton Has Been Hospitalised

On January 26, Mischa Barton has voluntarily been hospitalised after neighbours and a friend became concerned with her odd behavior, according to TMZ.

An official statement has been made by L.A. County Sheriff’s Department spokesman, who confirmed that Barton had been voluntarily taken to hospital after officers responded to a disturbance call.

In heartbreaking photos obtained by the news site, a distressed-looking Barton appears to be pacing around the backyard her West Hollywood home donning nothing but a white dress shirt and a necktie. One snap even shows an aggressive Barton leaning over a wooden fence screaming.

Sources close to the former O.C. actress told TMZ that Barton was saying bizarre things that morning, including referring to her mother as a witch and suggesting the world is shattering.
