Insiders close to the Olympian say she’s been left ‘heartbroken and devastated’ by the break-up, after Mark, 50, called time on the intense nine-month relationship several weeks ago.
The mum-of-three has suffered through two high-profile break-ups in recent years – splitting from husband of 25 years Grant Kenny in 2009, then ending things with her toyboy lover Joel Walkenhorst last year.
She took to social media last week with the poignant and brave message: ‘In the end, we only regret the chances we didn’t take,’ as she recovers from another broken heart.
‘Mark said that he wasn’t ready to commit in the way that Lisa wanted, so he told her it was over,’ the source reveals.
