Tragedy of the most heartbreaking kind has hit the Bay. Just hours after giving birth to her beautiful baby girl Grace, Tori (Penny McNamee) collapsed and lost consciousness.
And now, in an unmissable week of our favourite weeknight drama, Summer Bay’s much-loved doctor is flown by medivac helicopter from the safe house to a city hospital.

However, we can reveal that Tori’s fight for survival is only just beginning! The new mother has suffered a major stroke and may have permanent brain damage.
Back in the Bay, Tori’s loved ones Justin (James Stewart), Mason (Orpheus Pledger), Leah (Ada Nicodemou) and Justin’s daughter Ava (Alice Roberts) are blissfully unaware of the devastating turn of events – but not for long.
Just as they are celebrating word of the safe arrival of Grace, Robbo (Jake Ryan) calls Justin to deliver the tragic news. What’s more, it’s at this moment that Tori goes into cardiac arrest!
Soon after, a distraught Justin and Mason arrive at the hospital. And nothing can prepare them for the sight of their beloved sister on life support.
“It’s so heartbreaking, especially knowing how much Tori has gone through to have a baby in the first place,” reflects Sam. “Tori went through IVF, she had a miscarriage, then she fell pregnant again, and finally had a healthy pregnancy before delivering Grace in a safe house. But the last thing anyone expected was for this to happen. Tori doesn’t deserve it and it’s just devastating.”
“This is everyone’s worst nightmare,” agrees Jake.
Meanwhile, Robbo’s first days as a new father could not be more bittersweet.
“He is completely in love with his baby from the second that he sees her,” says Jake.
“Becoming a father gives Robbo a whole new lease on life and he’s immediately the doting dad. He doesn’t want to leave Grace’s side, but of course he’s terribly worried about Tori.
“Robbo would give his life to make sure Tori comes out of this healthy and happy. It’s really hard for everyone.”
Indeed, as Tori’s anguished family and friends maintain a bedside vigil at the hospital, the question remains: will Tori wake from her coma?
