But judging from photos taken around this time, her bum was nowhere near as large as it is today! As early as 2011, Kim dealt with the rumours by getting her butt scanned with an x-ray machine. Though her sisters Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian had only dared her to do this, she got her ass scanned to end the implants gossip. The hilarious ordeal was shown on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Her booty scan was compared to a scan of Khloe’s silicone breast implants, showing there was no silicone in Kim’s butt.
In 2016, Kim admitted that she did actually get injections in her bum…for her psoriasis! Her skin condition gives her rashes, so she has to take cortisone injections for them. We don’t know if she’s had anything else injected in, though.
She’s Taking Care Of Her Best Asset…But Is She Happy With It?
Kim Kardashian’s butt is such a huge part of her image that she had it insured for a jaw-dropping $USD21-million (or nearly $AUD31-million) in 2015. Given how her derriere has made her famous, we’re not surprised she wanted to protect its value.
She has, however, admitted that she isn’t happy with it in an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians last year. Her sister Kourtney had blurted out, “Kim, when you sit down your butt looks so huge.“
Kim replied, “I cry about it on the daily.” She confided to her family that its size made her self-conscious. It’s not the first time she revealed feeling insecure about her bun: in 2016, she said in an interview, “I love curves, but I don’t love my butt and my hips being so big.”
Kim Kardashian’s Bum Sculpting Workout And Ass-Shaping Tips
Kim K’s personal trainer Melissa Alcantara revealed the special workout that Kim does to keep her bottom shapely! It consists of six exercise sets that Kim does twice a week, targeting her butt and leg muscles to make them strong. She does warn that you should only do this twice a week so you have time to recover.
- Walking lunges, four sets of 20 reps per leg
- Elevated glute bridges, four sets of 20 reps
- Elevated goblet squats, four sets of 12 to 20 reps
- Glute kickbacks, five sets of 50 reps per leg
- Bulgarian split squats, four sets of 12 reps per leg
- Dumbbell hamstring curls, four sets of 12 to 20 reps
This sounds pretty exhausting, but the results on Kim show that this intense routine is very effective. Kim already has genetics on her side, but butts can be made firmer and more ‘lifted’ in appearance with regular exercise. That’s probably why even if her bottom is quite heavy, it doesn’t seem to sag!
Another trick Kim has is her waist training. She wears a waist trainer regularly to sculpt her waist and keep it small. As her waist shrank, her ass looked even larger in comparison! Kim also isn’t above wearing butt pads from time to time to create a more exaggerated silhouette.
Our Verdict?
Given the scan and her dedicated exercising, it’s hard to say for sure if she’s fibbing about butt enhancement. People still speculate that she’s gotten her own fat injected back into her bottom, which wouldn’t show in a scan. But we’ve seen the pictures of all the curvy Kardashian sisters, and we don’t think it’s too far-fetched that they were just born with it.
One thing’s for sure: real or fake, she does put a lot of effort into keeping her bum in tip-top shape!
