Australian Survivor fans have lashed out at Pia Miranda after her shock decision meant fan favourite Luke Toki left the show on Monday night.
In the penultimate episode of the season Luke was unanimously voted out, squashing his hopes to become this year’s Sole Survivor.

But while fellow tribemates Harry Hills and Baden Gilbert also voted against Luke, it was Pia’s surprise turnaround that had fans reeling.
Pia faced an enormous backlash from viewers for turning on her ally Luke, with many lashing out at the reality TV star in her Instagram comments.
The 46-year-old star addressed the controversy after the episode aired, calling the game “brutal”.
“I didn’t expect to have to make a decision that tore me apart like this but Survivor will do that to you,” she confessed.
“At the end of the day we are all out there playing to change our lives and Harry, Baden and I made a choice that was strategically right but morally painful. So send me all your snake emojis and know that I get it,” she wrote on her Instagram account.
But while Pia has copped a fair amount of flak, other Survivor fans stood up for her on social media, reminding her critics that she was doing what she had to to win the game.
“#SurvivorAU the people in Pia’s Instagram comments are disgusting. Do something better with your time than harass someone for something they did on TV,” one fan posted to Twitter.
“I guess I’m naive but I did not predict the barrage of abuse that Pia would receive after this vote. Some fans are so dumb and rude #SurvivorAU ” said another.
“The level of vitriol directed at Pia is absolutely gross. It’s a game, she made the best move for herself. Harry and Baden also voted for Luke but not one nasty comment directed at them. You salty people need to check yourself #SurvivorAU” another fan tweeted.
Tune tonight for the final episode at 7.30pm on 10 and 10 Play where Pia, Harry and Baden will battle it out for Sole Survivor status.
Jonathan LaPaglia will announce this year’s Sole Survivor who will win a whopping $500,000 in prize money.
