We’ve been treated to throwback photos and wedding snaps by Princess Eugenie on her Instagram account, but in her most recent post she’s made a faux pas that has ignited the fury of online trolls.
The 29-year-old granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth shared two photos of herself and her sister, Beatrice, in celebration of Siblings Day.
She captioned the sweet snaps: “Happy National Siblings Day… and to my big sister, your the best especially when helping me and my dress into a getaway car. #nationalsiblingday”
Proving that she is very much ‘one of the people’ the princess made an unfortunate spelling error in her post, writing “your” instead of “you’re”, and she’s being slammed online for her mistake.
The privately educated princess is being ridiculed for her online gaff, with one writing: “Eugenie’s grammar and spelling are usually bad. So much for higher education!”
While others have leapt to her defence.
One woman wrote: “How negative and petty pointing out grammatical errors, this is social media not the national enquirer, utterly pathetic and nonsense.”
Another fan commented: “Does it really matter? Is your life so petty you get off on being a complete bore?”
We hope the online comments don’t deter the princess from sharing her social media in future.
