Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a very special family announcement last night- the Sussexes will be heading to Africa!
On Thursday, Buckingham Palace confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be visiting South Africa at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

Taking to Instagram, the couple announced the royal tour with an old smiling snapshot of the couple taken prior to Archie’s birth, however, have not mentioned the exact dates in October they will be travelling.
In the social media post by @sussexroyal, the Duchess announced that she will be taking baby Archie with her, writing:
“The Duke and Duchess are really looking forward to meeting so many of you on the ground and continuing to raise awareness of the high impact work local communities are doing across the commonwealth and beyond. This will be their first official tour as a family!”
Earlier in the week, Nigel Casey, the British High Commissioner to South Africa excitedly confirmed that Meghan, Harry and little Archie Harrison with visit the country, telling press: “That’s great news for us, I predict it’s also great news for the South African economy, I predict a hat and frock buying frenzy that could well boost the economy all on its own.
“We’re hugely looking forward to that.”
The continent had a special meaning for the royal couple, as Meghan and Harry took a romantic trip to Botswana before getting engaged.
