Here is everything we know about Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi
How did Edoardo propose to Princess Beatrice?
Edoardo proposed to the Princess of York while they were on holiday together in the up-market Italian coastal town of Positano.
In their joint statement, the couple revealed they were “extremely happy” about the prospect of getting married: “We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement.”
“We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to be married. We share so many similar interests and values and we know this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness.”
When and where will the wedding take place?
We know that the wedding will be taking place in 2020 and will most likely be in the springtime.
While no official details have been released, people are speculating that Princess Beatrice will choose to wed in the home country of her fiancé, Italy. However, if Beatrice was to choose Italy over a traditional British location, it would likely mean her 93-year-old grandmother Queen Elizabeth won’t attend due to the fact the monarch is now uneasy on aeroplanes.
Royal expert Ingrid Seward told OK magazine that while Beatrice would want to marry in Italy, she will most likely choose a location that will accommodate the Queen.
“I think in her heart Beatrice would like to be married in Italy where Edo’s from, but there’s no way the Queen will fly to Europe for the wedding so it will have to be in England.”
