In episode seven of The Bachelorette there appears to be a new frontrunner in the mix, which leaves ‘stage five-clinger’ Charlie questioning his connection with Ali.
He also manages to oust, other frontrunner Rob out of a single date with Ali.
It all begins on the dance floor where Ali teams up with the boys to record a dance video. She gets up close and personal with handsome sales rep Todd and she’s left wanting more.
“I may have had Rob in mind for this date, but Todd made such an impression before, I’m excited to have him on this single date instead!” Ali declares on the start of the single date.
Todd first made an impression on Ali (and Australia) when he turned up in a plastic silver knight suit.
“I’m hoping to discover Todd can be my real-life prince charming,” Ali gushes.

The pair go on the single date which sees them design each other an outfit and strip off into the undies in the process.
“Hello Todd, he’s so handsome!” Ali drools as she sees a semi naked Todd.
Todd later impresses Ali with his fashion knowledge and choice of design for the dress. “The more I get to know him the more I like,” Ali purrs.
Later on, the lovebirds start to talk marriage and babies.
“Do you see me as a good mother?” Questions Ali.
Soon the pair are engaging in some deep tonsil hockey which leaves Ali literally glowing.
“The chemistry is there, the connection is there it’s amazing,” coos Ali.
Back at the mansion, when Todd walks through the front door proudly bearing his rose and tales of passionate kissing, Charlie starts to panic.

“I really need to speak to Ali tonight. I’m not sure if she’s thinking it through properly,” he tells the cameras.
He also attempts to convince Todd that she might not be thinking straight.
“She’s got six or seven people in the mix…she’s still spreading her basket around,” Charlie tells him.
But Todd is all starry eyed and not interested in Charlie’s opinion. “I know you’ve got butterflies… but is it enough?” Charlie insists and Todd is wise to his actions.
“He thinks he’s got the right to know Ali best. He’s like a jealous boyfriend!” Todd laments to the cameras.
Later on, Charlie sits down with Ali. “I’m a little confused. You’re a little spread out…” he begins.

Worried he might be sent home, Charlie sees himself in the bottom two at the rose ceremony with Rob.
Luckily for Charlie, Rob is the one sent packing, but with Todd creating an intense connection with Ali, he’s certainly left nothing but concerned for his place in the finale.
Let’s see!
