It’s the Bachelorette 2018 finale and Ali Oetjen has two handsome suitors to choose from: Todd King and Taite Radley, so who wins the bubbly blonde’s heart?
Frontrunner Taite takes the coveted spot, with Ali sending a heartbroken Todd home.
The final episode starts with Ali checking into Jet Star on her way the Northern Territories.
“I can’t believe I’m here,” she gasps.
Meanwhile, Taite is seen going for a swim in the waterfall. “I’m falling for Ali,” he says while splashing around in the water.
Todd on the other hand is sitting alone on a rock. “I just love Ali so much,” he sighs while staring off into the distance.
Ali is then sitting down with her parents and her cousin Bianca. She talks about how she’s found two amazing guys.
Her mum is impressed that Todd has already confessed his love to Ali.
The dad isn’t too happy that Taite appears guarded with his feelings and he looks ready to give him a grilling.
And when Taite arrives, the dad pulls him over for a good one-on-one.
“How do you feel about all of this?” He grunts.
“Have you expressed your feelings towards Alison?”
“Umm I feel like I’ve brushed on it…” Taite murmurs.
The dad isn’t too impressed. “As a father my main concern is that she’s been hurt and as I want to know if it is for real.”
“Yeah I wouldn’t say I’m in love just yet,” he croaks.
Taite then leaves. Ali asks what the parents think. “Is he enough for you at this stage?” Ali’s dad questions after she explains how guarded he is.
Next up it’s Todd’s turn. “He’s got a stern handshake,” Todd squeaks.
After grilling Todd, Ali’s dad is concerned about their mismatching timelines.
“Where do you see this heading? You’re 26 and she’s 32. I see that as a problem,” Ali’s dad says in their one on one.
“I don’t see it as a problem. I can compromise. There are all these variables up in the air. But as long as the love as there, you can sacrifice for one another,” Todd says.
“Todd gives the right answers. I just hope he’s the man he says he is,” Ali’s dad says afterwards.
He expresses his concerns to Ali about the age difference. Bianca on the other hand sees their connection as genuine. She’s also concerned whether Taite will ever let his guard down.
Now it’s date time with Ali and Todd. “Today is going to be a good day with the woman I love,” he sighs.
They head to waterhole Berri Springs for a romantic dip. They kiss lots. “I’m completely in it to spend the rest of my life with Ali… I can see her being the mother of my children,” gasps Todd.
“I’m always going to sacrifice for you,” he tells Ali. “I would do anything to make you happy.”
“I hope you know how much you touch my heart, ” says Ali.
“This knight just wants to give you a fairytale ending,” whispers Todd.
Now it’s Taite’s turn to take Ali on a date. They head to the wetlands. Ali is hoping for Taite to let his guard down.
They can’t stop kissing and Ali appears on cloud nine.
But when they have a serious chat about their future things appear to get a bit tense.
“Do you want to have children with me?” Ali presses.
Taite is unable to answer her.
“There’s something I need to tell you which may push you further away,” confesses Taite.
“There’s something I can’t commit to. Marriage and kids. I just don’t know how to explain it.”
Ali is mortified and somewhat speechless.
“I’m scared Ali…I don’t want to hurt you.”
Ali starts to cry.
“I just don’t want to let you down,” Taite adds.
Now it’s crunch time. Ali is about to choose her final suitor.
Todd pulls out an engagement ring. OMG.
Ali goes to see Osher. Ali admits she’s in love and feels that she’s found an everlasting love.
Ali starts to have a meltdown and starts to freak out.
Todd steps out the car first. It’s time for Ali to break up with him.
“Something’s missing for me. It’s about following my heart,” Ali confesses.
Todd takes it well. “I’m so happy for you. You found yourself a great guy.”
“You’re such an angel,” sobs Ali.
Todd heads off into the grasslands to cry his pretty heart out.
Now it’s Taite’s turn to meet with Ali.
“I’m willing to risk it all. I am so in love with you!” spills Ali.
“I’m so happy you said that. I came here looking to find love and I can honestly say I have.”
Then Taite pulls out a commitment ring. “I’m falling in love with you! I love you Ali!”
