Once a palace of dreams for reality TV desperados everywhere, the Big Brother house at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast is now a derelict mess, full of weeds, graffiti and smashed fittings.

This video, posted online by MuiTube, shows just how far the house has fallen from the glory days when millions of viewers would tune in to watch the antics of housemates.
Once a TV icon before the increasingly contrived behaviour of a generation of near-identical twentysomething blondes raised on reality TV ruined the popularity of the once novel show, the house now looks like something out of a scary apocalyptic film.
Not only displaying the sad state of the house, explorer Scott also showed just how the program worked – revealing the placements of camera positions behind the house’s array of mirrors.
‘You don’t seem to think when you watch the show that all the mirrors were where all the camera men were filming from,’ he says in the video.
‘Everywhere you look there’s glass panels – it would have been a strange feeling.’
The bathroom, once the venue for gratuitous nude shots beamed to late night voyeurs, is now a war zone of smashed glass and accumulated filth.
The pool is now a slimy pond, and a sea of weeds now grow through every available crack.
While there have been rumours for sometime the show may make a comeback, this footage shows that Big Brother might need a wrecking ball – and a whole new house – before that can happen.
