Royal expert Angela Mollard recently spoke about why Princess Bea can’t have a big wedding like her sister Eugenie in the lastest episode of New Idea Royals podcast.
Princess Beatrice is currently dating Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi who has a two-year-old son from a previous relationship with ex Dara Huang.
His family are long-time friends of the royal family and rumours that the pair might be heading down the aisle are rampant, but Angela says if they do there have been talks she may not have the same extravagant wedding as her elder sister Princess Eugenie.
“There has been some talk she can’t have the same wedding as Princess Eugenie has and I suspect because he has a child and he didn’t marry her,” she says.
“But I think this is pure speculation. There shouldn’t be any reason why not, now that Meghan is a divorcee and she wasn’t born into the church,” Angela adds.
“But I would hope there wouldn’t be any censor on him because of the fact he has a son.”
A source previously told The Sun of the couple: ‘They’ve been on holiday together and Beatrice introduced him to Fergie and her dad. Things are moving very quickly and it wouldn’t surprise anyone if they got engaged within a short period of time.
‘They could even be tying the knot in 2019 — it’s already been discussed by her friends.
‘Everyone is thrilled that Bea is so happy and in such a good place right now.’
According to Angela Princess Bea really wants to become a mother too. “She adores kids, she’s thirty and I hope her dreams come true.”
