It wasn’t long ago, 60 Minutes TV journalist Tara Brown found herself embroiled in a serious political and legal tumult in Lebanon that threatened a lot more than her job and now, this news about her personal life just hits it all home.
In October, it was revealed that Brown and her husband of 16 years, John McAvoy had split citing the pair had ben “struggling for a while”, according to their friends.
Reportedly, the pair had split before the botched operation in Lebanon; such trips the cause of a lot of the couple’s problems, with Brown being constantly away on assignment for work, a source revealed.
However, Brown stepped-out on the blue carpet of a recent Channel 9 ‘Upfronts’ event in Sydney on Tuesday, stealing the limelight thanks to her classic style, but it was what glistened on her finger that had tongues wagging.
Brown was unashamedly wearing her wedding ring, despite all reports the marriage had come to a long-awaited ending.
Sources revealed to numerous publications that the likelihood of the marriage and its end remaining amicable for the sake of the couple’s children, two boys, Jack, 8 and Tom, 5.
There’s yet to be word on any confirmation from Brown, but a wedding ring on the ring finger isn’t worn lightly.
