Today host Lisa Wilkinson has been accused of publicly snubbing the jilted wife of her TV offsider Karl Stefanovic.
Cassandra Thorburn, the mother of Stefanovic’s three children who was left by Karl in July after 21 years of marriage, was invited to attend a Sydney magazine event this week, which was being emceed by avowed feminist Lisa.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Lisa did not speak or interact with Cass, despite being in the same room, with the publication reporting the outspoken and opinionated TV talking head ‘snubbed Thorburn, who she has known for almost a decade.’
A witness reportedly told the paper, ‘Everyone was watching to see what Lisa would do, but she completely ignored Cassandra. It felt a bit awkward.’
Cassandra and Karl’s divorce has now been finalised, but they have yet to reach any kind of a settlement, despite reports to the contrary.
Sources close to Cassandra have previously indicated that she was blindsided by Karl’s decision to walk out on her.
